Cuba participates at 4th Ministerial Meeting CELAC-China Forum



HAVANA, Cuba, May 13 (ACN) A Cuban delegation participated today at the 4th Ministerial Meeting of the CELAC-China Forum, which took place in Beijing, in the context of the 10th anniversary of that mechanism.

Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, Cuban foreign minister, headed the Cuban representation at the event, after completing, on Monday, a bilateral agenda with counterparts of the Forum.

According to the Cuban foreign minister, his country will continue contributing to the consolidation and progress of this mechanism as an effective space for coordination and deepening of the multifaceted relations between China and the region.

He also recognized the efforts of the Chinese government, especially its Belt and Road and Global Development initiatives and the CELAC-China Cooperation Plan 2022-2024.

The 4th Ministerial Meeting of the CELAC-China Forum was held under the theme “Planning development and revitalization together, building together a China-LAC community with a shared future”.

Rodriguez Parrilla arrived on Sunday in Beijing at the head of a delegation also composed of Carlos Miguel Pereira Hernandez, director general of Bilateral Affairs; Eugenio Martinez Enriquez, director general of Latin America and the Caribbean; Juan Antonio Quintanilla Roman, director general of Multilateral Affairs and International Law; and Alberto Blanco Silva, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the People's Republic of China.
