CELAC-China ministerial meeting kicks off today in Beijing



HAVANA, Cuba, May 13 (ACN) The 4th Ministerial Meeting of the Forum of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) and China kicks off today in Beijing.

Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla is heading the Cuban delegation to the meeting, which has as its slogan Planning together for development and revitalization, building together a China-LAC community with a shared future, according to the Cuban foreign ministry's website.

Its organization is related to the commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the First Ministerial Meeting of the Forum, held in the Chinese capital in January 2015.

In turn, Cuban deputy minister of foreign affairs, Anayansi Rodriguez Camejo, will also participate in the Meeting of National Coordinators of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States, and of these with their counterparts from the People's Republic of China.

Cuban delegation is also made up of foreign ministry directors Carlos Miguel Pereira Hernandez, of Bilateral Affairs; Eugenio Martinez Enriquez, of Latin America and the Caribbean; Juan Antonio Quintanilla Roman, of Multilateral Affairs and International Law; and Alberto Blanco Silva, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the People's Republic of China.

The founding summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States took place on December 2 and 3, 2011 in Caracas.
