Proclamation of Cuba Socialist Revolution Recalled in Beijing

Havana, April 16 (ACN) Cuban and Chinese diplomats and military officers recalled in Beijing the 64 anniversary of the proclamation of the socialist character of the Cuban Revolution and the victory against the 1961 US-led Bay of Pigs mercenary invasion.

Ambassador Alberto Blanco and Military Attache Colonel Waldo Perez welcomed at the Cuban embassy in Beijing Major General Ye Jiang, vice-director of the International Military Collaboration Office of China’s Central Military Commission, and other members of the People’s Liberation Army.
The two sides ratified the strong friendship bonds uniting their people and armed forces, particularly when the two countries mark the 65th year of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations.

Meanwhile in Havana, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel headed a political-cultural rally to mark the historic date, according to PL wire service.

The proclamation of the socialist character of the Cuban Revolution was made during the funeral service for the victims of US bombing of Cuban airfields in western and eastern Cuba.

On that occasion, the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro addressed the people packed at a centrally located Havana street corner to ratify before the whole world the socialist character of the emerging revolutionary process.
