Havana, Feb 20 (ACN) Former Panamanian ambassador to Cuba Reynaldo Rivera stressed the Cuban people’s dignity in the face of the over-60-year blockade imposed by Washington against the Caribbean island nation.
The US blockade against Cuba is doomed to failure, said the diplomat during his participation at the Cuba and Panama: a Great Connection podcast service of the Cuban embassy in Panama.
US President Donald Trump now uses the blockade to try to suppress the voice of a people who will not yield or renounce their principles, said the Panamanian diplomat, as cited by PL news agency.
Over one thousand Panamanians have graduated in Cuba, particularly from medical schools, Rivera noted and added that he is a follower of the ideas of Cuban National Hero Jose Marti, and the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro
