HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 10 (ACN) Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), hailed today the 45th anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party (PT by its Spanish acronym), one of the main political formations in Brazil.
On X, Morales Ojeda sent special congratulations to the PT, and remarked its importance in the struggles of the Brazilian working people for a better world with social justice.
The PCC and the PT signed last year an Exchange and Cooperation Agreement in which, according to both organizations, they institutionalize their relations and ratify the good state of inter-party ties.
The document contributes to strengthen links in several areas, such as the formation of cadres, the coordination of international party and left-wing forums, as is the case of the Sao Paulo Forum, as well as exchanges on regional and international current affairs.
Gleisi Hoffmann, president of the PT, when signing the agreement along with Morales Ojeda, ratified the importance of counting on the work experience of the PCC and reiterated that her organization is always ready to help the Cuban people, which, she commented, has always been a reference of resistance and struggle.
