HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 7 (ACN) Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, Cuban foreign minister, described today as a condemnable and arbitrary act of modern piracy, the seizure of a Venezuelan aircraft by order of the US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio.
On X, the Cuban diplomat stressed that by ordering the confiscation of the aircraft, property of the state-owned company Petroleos de Venezuela S.A., the head of Washington's foreign policy is violating international law and the UN Charter.
He intends to become the sheriff of Latin America and the Caribbean, Rodriguez Parrilla said about Rubio's recent action, denounced this morning by the Venezuelan government in a statement.
Yvan Gil, foreign minister of the South American nation, shared on his Telegram account the text, which points out about the Secretary of State: "His hatred towards Venezuela now leads him to open crime, illegally confiscating a PDVSA airplane with the complicity of the sepoy government of the Dominican Republic".
