Havana, Jan 29 (ACN) Dominica’s Parliament President Joseph Isaac, stressed the importance of his country’s relations with Cuba as he reiterated his government’s commitment to justice and solidarity with Havana.
During a meeting with Cuban ambassador to Dominica, Miguel Fraga, the top parliamentarian looked at the state of bilateral relations which he described as an expression of the spirit of cooperation and friendship between the two Caribbean island nations.
The Cuban representative on his part stressed the significance of the unity among the two sister nations and thanked for the unconditional support of Dominica to Cuba’s struggle against the US economic blockade.
Dominica and Cuba have maintained bilateral diplomatic relations since the late 1990’s; such bonds are part of Cuba’s bonds with the Caribbean Community which focus on common agendas based on sovereignty, independence and development.
