Havana, Dec 3 (ACN) Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum reiterated the need to lift the economic blockades imposed by the United States against Cuba and Venezuela, as she tackled the importance of addressing migration.
Sheinbaum said that the best way to lower the migration flow, if that is in the interest of Washington, is by addressing the cause of migration, which is necessity and poverty in particular. She added that the US blockades against Cuba and Venezuela also affect the people of those nations, PL news agency reported.
Last Thursday, Sheinbaum said that during a conversation with US President-elect Donald Trump, she asked him to lift such sieges, which cause the suffering of the people and may cause the phenomenon of massive migration.
While responding to questions during her usual press conference, the head of state said on Tuesday that once formal dialog takes place with Donald Trump, here team will raise several issues, including migration.
