HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 13 (ACN) In a post on X, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel congratulated Surangel Whipps Jr, president of Palau, on the occasion of his re-election and reasserted to him the commitment to keep strengthening the links of friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
In May this year, Mr. Whipps and Cuban VP Salvador Valdés Mesa held a meeting in which the Palauan official thanked Cuba for training, graduating and receiving medical students from the Micronesian island.
On his end, Valdés Mesa ratified Cuba's decision to maintain the human resources qualification program in the field of health care available to the sister nation of Palau.
