HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 25 (ACN) Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, Cuban foreign minister, began an official visit to Hungary today, at the invitation of his government.
The head of the island's diplomacy announced this on X, in which he said his stay he hopes to continue deepening the existing ties between both countries and with the European Union, a bloc of which Hungary holds the presidency.
Rodriguez Parrilla also stressed that the official visit takes place on the 50th anniversary of the presence in Hungary of Raul Roa (1907-1982), the Minister of Dignity.
Budapest and Havana established diplomatic relations on September 15, 1960, when a Hungarian delegation traveled to Cuba to begin negotiations.
Cuban diplomat arrived today in Hungary from Russia, where he participated at the 16th BRICS Summit.
