HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 16 (ACN) In a post on X, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla lamented the decease of Thomas J. Donohue, former president of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and sent his condolences to his family and friends.
In his message, Rodríguez Parrilla recalled that Mr. Donohue took steps to promote business with Cuba and facilitate the possibility of rapprochement between the two countries.
Thomas J. Donohue visited Cuba in 2017 and held a meeting with Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, then President of the Councils of State and of Ministers, to discuss issues of interest to both nations.
