HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 16 (ACN) Wavel Ramkalawan, president of the Republic of Seychelles, will begin today an official visit to Cuba, which will last until September 20.
As part of the visit, he will hold official talks with Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the country; Esteban Lazo Hernandez, president of the National Assembly of People's Power; and Jose Angel Portal Miranda, public health minister, as part of the visit, reported foreign ministry on its website.
The president will also tour places of academic, historical and cultural interest, health institutions and is expected to sign agreements to boost the development of political-diplomatic ties and cooperation between the two countries.
Cuba and the Republic of Seychelles have long-standing diplomatic relations, established on April 12, 1978, which have been based on friendship, solidarity and cooperation.
