HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 25 (ACN) In a post on X, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla ratified Cuba’s solidarity with the Bolivarian and chavista Revolution in Venezuela and assured that it will remain victorious, pursuant to its people’s choice.
On Thursday, the Supreme Court of Justice of Venezuela conducted an audit of the results of the July 28 elections and confirmed the triumph of Nicolás Maduro, who had requested this screening himself after the opposition insisted on challenging the outcome.
The judicial authority found that, “in an unrestricted and unequivocal manner (...) the bulletins issued by the National Electoral Council are supported by the tally sheets issued by each one of the machines”, as Supreme Court President Caryslia Rodríguez stressed that there was an attempted coup d'état along with a large-scale cyber-attack in Venezuela.
Regarding this ruling, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel reiterated his support for Nicolás Maduro and condemned the actions to question the results of the presidential elections.
