Cuban Foreign Minister calls for ending of interference in Venezuela

HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 23 (ACN) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez called on Thursday to respect the decisions of Venezuelan institutions and cease interference in Venezuela.

From his X account, Rodríguez Parrilla highlighted that the ruling of the Venezuelan Supreme Court of Justice confirmed the victory of the Bolivarian and Chavista Revolution and the reelection of Nicolás Maduro as President.

“Ruling of the Supreme Court of Justice of #Venezuela confirmed victory of the Bolivarian and Chavista Revolution and the re-election of @NicolasMaduro as President. The decisions of Venezuelan institutions must be respected and interference in Venezuela must cease.”

In the same social network, Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, stated that attempts at manipulation are baseless, and that democracy in action and the voice of the people always prevails.

The Electoral Chamber of the Venezuelan Supreme Court of Justice issued a ruling this Thursday in Caracas on the investigation of the contentious appeal filed by President Nicolás Maduro, regarding the presidential elections of last July 28.

Based on the results obtained in the expertise, Magistrate Caryslia Beatriz Rodriguez Rodriguez assured that the results bulletins of the National Electoral Council (CNE) are congruent with the reports of the electoral machines and the results totalization centers.

Based on the thorough investigation carried out, she declared the dispute admissible and validated the results of the presidential election offered by the CNE.
