Havana, Aug 21 (ACN) Recent measures ordered by Israel have affected over 150 thousand Palestinians in Gaza, the United Nations denounced.
The new orders are pushing Palestinians to unsafe and overpopulated areas along the coast, while they hinder the work of humanitarian organizations in the Gaza Strip, said UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric in conversation with reporters.
Defense forces ordered the evacuation of people in the areas of Deir al Balah and Khan Younis, which host 80 improvised facilities and 4 centers of the UN Agency for Palestinian Refugees, along 29 informal facilities.
The orders affect UN offices, warehouses and residencies used by humanitarian organizations.
The citizens displaced by these evacuation orders face health risks while they arrive at places without any services, said the spokesperson. These evacuation orders affected 250 thousand Palestinians only in August.
From October to July this year, some 90 percent of the Gaza population—estimated at 2.1 million—had already suffered displacement at least once since last October 7. Lc
