Havana, Aug 2(ACN) Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero is meeting a working agenda in Angola after visiting the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Premier Marrero will meet to government Angolan authorities, visit centers of historic, economic and social interest and meet with Cuban diplomats stationed in the capital Luanda and Cuban residents in a visit running till August 3rd, according to the Cuban government’s X account.
This is the first visit to Angola by the Cuban Prime Minister. Cuba and Angola share long-standing diplomatic relations, established on November 15th, 1975.
Close friendship and cooperation characterize bilateral Cuba-Angola links, which were forged by the legacy of historic leaders Fidel Castro and Agostinho Neto and by the blood shed by the Cuban combatants killed in action fighting for the independence of the African nation.
