HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 31 (ACN) In a post on X, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla condemned the assassination of the leader of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) Ismail Haniyeh and described the attack against him in Tehran as a clear violation of the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Rodríguez Parrilla sent his condolences to the Palestinian people and to family and relatives of Haniyeh, 61, who was visiting the Iranian capital to attend the presidential inauguration of Masud Pezeshkian.
The official stressed that the assassination, announced by the Iranian authorities in the early hours of this morning, further aggravates the current war situation in the Middle East.
Maher Al-Taher, head of International Relations of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, said that Israel crossed the red line again with this attack, which brings the region to the brink of war.
