HAVANA, Cuba, May 10 (ACN) Miguel Diaz-Canel, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the country, thanked Algerian leaders for receiving him during his technical stopover in Algiers on his return to Cuba.
He held meeting with Brahim Boughali, president of the National People's Assembly of Algeria, and Abdelhak Saihi, minister of Health and co-chairman of the Algeria-Cuba Intergovernmental Commission.
On X, the Head of State informed that he conveyed a warm message to his Algerian counterpart Abdelmadjid Tebboune and reiterated the commitment to continue strengthening bilateral ties.
Diaz-Canel began his return trip to the Caribbean nation after concluding a working visit to the Russian Federation during which he attended the Victory Day Parade, participated in the Supreme Council of the Eurasian Union and held a meeting with President Vladimir Putin.
