Cuban long jumper wins again in World Para Athletics Championships

HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 28 (ACN) Cuban athlete Robiel Yankiel Sol became a three-time gold medalist after dominating the men's long jump T47 class at the 2025 World Para Athletics Championships in New Delhi.

The 22-year-old athlete once again proved his matchless quality with a jump of 7.57 m, thus extending a string of victories that began at the 2023 World Championships in Paris and continued at Kobe 2024.

The two-time Paralympic champion (Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024) stated that he arrived in New Delhi well prepared and, although he didn't reach his personal best (7.84 m), he gained valuable experience and confirmed his potential to achieve his goals.

His closest contender was the Russian Nikita Kotukov, who competed under a neutral flag, with a jump of 7.21 m, whereas the bronze medal went to China's Hao Wang with a jump of 7.19 m.

Robiel thanked all those who support him and expressed his happiness for the messages of encouragement he receives from his followers on social media.
