HOLGUÍN, Cuba, July 24 (ACN) Cuban judo will seek medals in all divisions at the 2025 Junior Pan American Games in Asunción, according to national commissioner Andrés Taño, who described the challenge as difficult but not impossible.
He remarked that the goal is to remain at the forefront of the continent in this category in a fierce competition with Brazil, a judo powerhouse in the Americas.
“All our athletes are highly motivated and showing progress in their training, as they aspire to climb the podium”, he pointed out.
In the first edition of these competitions, held in Cali Valle, Colombia, in 2021, Cuba participated with only six judokas and won two gold, two silver, and three bronze medals.
