HAVANA, Cuba, July 4 (ACN) Cuban beach duo of Noslen Díaz and Jorge Luis Alayo will seek to return to success today at the Elite 16 tournament in Gstaad, Switzerland, which is part of the 2025 Beach Pro Tour.
According to the International Federation's website www.fivb.com, Francisco Alvarez Cutiño's pupils will face the Austrian duo of Cristobal Dressler-Phillipp Waller Friday in the round of 16 of the main draw.
Previously, Cubans defeated Brazil's Loyola Stein-Santo Mayor Wenderley 2-1 and lost 2-1 to the Netherlands' Leon Luini-Mateo Immers, in that order.
Diaz and Alayo were ranked seventh in the world rankings (WR), but due to their absence from several top-level events, they dropped to 26th.
It will be important to regain their winning streak in search of points to return to the top 10 of the rankings.
