HAVANA, Cuba, July 3 (ACN) The Cuban beach volleyball players Noslén Díaz and Jorge Luis Alayo will seek their second win today in the 2025 Beach Pro Tour Elite 16 tournament held in Gstaad, Switzerland, when they play against the locals pair Luini-Immers.
On Wednesday, the Cubans notched up a 2-1 victory over the Brazilians Loyola Stein and Santo Wenderley thanks to their best performance in attack (37-34), blocks (6-5) and opponent errors (14-15), as their opponents only outmatched them in serves (5-2).
Díaz and Alayo were once seventh in the world rankings, but their absence from several top-level events pull them down to their current 26th place.
