HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 4 (ACN) The Cuban boxer Teudys Brook achieved the island’s first victory in the Youth World Boxing Cup “Adriatic Pearl”, held in Budva, Montenegro.
Brook (71 kg) beat the Russian Pavel Ermakov and is now the island’s only boxer in competition, since his other three teammates―Bárbaro Quevedo (51 kg), Ronald Cutiño (57 kg) and Lester Bello (75 kg)―lost in their first appearances.
Come Thursday, the Cuban will be opposite Russia’s Timofey Teniaev.
