HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 5 (ACN) Executives of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER) held a special consultation session to review Cuban Sports Bill together with sports journalists, who suggested additions and changes to, as well as deletions from, the draft document designed to govern sports in the island and prepared after months-long hard work with the participation of State bodies and mass and social organizations.
The bill is intended to lay down and regulate fundamentals, goals, principles and provisions related to, and for the benefit of the institutional and legal character of, the Cuban Sports System.
Carlos Hernández Luján, a journalist with the TV channel Cubavisión Internacional, said that he and his colleagues made important suggestions to have a modern and functional legislation tailored to sports practice at international level.
As part of the consultation process, scheduled to be held until February 15, INDER posted the text on its website to encourage the participation of anyone interested in making a contribution to the content.
