Havana Triathlon with quotas and points for Games to be held in 2025-26-27

 

HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 6 (ACN) The 9th Havana Triathlon will be held on February 24 with the importance that it will grant quotas for the Junior Pan American Games in Asuncion and the Pan American Games in Lima 2027, and points for the Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo 2026.

The information offered via WhatsApp in Cuba on the road to the 2028 Los Angeles advanced that the traditional tournament of this capital will give six places in each sex (w and m) for the 2nd edition of the Paraguayan multisport event, from August 9 to 23 this year.

The tickets will be for the country, not for the triathletes, so the National Federation of each nation will decide who will participate and not necessarily the one who qualifies in Havana.

Each federation may secure a maximum of two athletes with 21 years of age until December 31, 2025 and per gender (w and m).

The countries that achieve to classify the maximum number of athletes in each sex will compete in the mixed event.

In relation to the Central Caribbean, it is specified that in Havana the athletes will score points that could guarantee their presence in the Dominican Republic, from July 24 to August 8, 2026.

Regarding the Peruvian Pan American Games, from July 16 to August 1, 2027, it is stated that the winners of the gold medals in Havana will get the direct quota.
