HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 1 (ACN) Charles Griffith, Minister of Sports, Youth and Community Empowerment of Barbados, traveled to Cuba at the head of a delegation with the aim of continuing to strengthen the historic ties of brotherhood and cooperation between the two countries.
During his stay in Havana, the distinguished guest will meet with Osvaldo Vento Montiller, president of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER), with whom he will sign a Cooperation Agreement in the field of sports.
Mr. Griffith and his delegation will also meet with representatives of the enterprise Cubadeportes S.A. and visit the facilities of the Giraldo Córdova Cardín Training School for High Performance Athletes and the Cuban Sports Research Center.
He will also hold talks with the first secretary of the National Committee of the Young Communist League and with the Minister of Culture Alpidio Alonso Grau.
