HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 1 (ACN) Cuba’s U-15 baseball team, made up of 18 players, is ready to compete in 2nd Caribbean Cup, to be held at the Andre Rodgers Stadium in Nassau, Bahamas, in December 4 to 9.
Alongside the Cubans will be teams from the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Dominican Republic, and St. Maarten, in addition to the hosts, with the two top teams after a round-robin competition playing for the gold medal and those in third and fourth place will do it for the bronze.
Cuba could not participate in the 1st Caribbean Cup organized in 2022 due to problems to get the air tickets in time.
For the first time in history, the Cuban U15 team sent to the 2024 Pan American Championship in the Dominican Republic failed to qualify for the World Cup.
