Cuba vs. South Korea in preparation match for Premier 12 tournament



 HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 1 (ACN) Cuban baseball team is ready to face South Korea as part of the preparation of both teams for the Premier 12, a tournament that will bring together the top-ranked countries in the world.

The match is the first of two that both teams will play before the tournament, which will be held Nov. 9 to 24 in Mexico, Taiwan and Japan.

Cuban players were placed together with the South Koreans in Group B in Taiwan, which will start on November 13 and where the Dominican Republic, Australia, Japan and the hosts of Chinese Taipei will also compete for one of the two tickets to the final round.

With the incorporation of Yoan Moncada, a member of the Chicago White Sox franchise, the team led by Armando Johnson will play at the Sky Dome to continue its competitive modeling phase, after a successful tour in the city of Ulsan where they achieved three wins in four games.

The following will start in that order: Yoelquis Guibert (CF), Yoan Moncada (3B), Erisbel Arruebarruena (SS), Alfredo Despaigne (BD), Rafael Viñales (RF), Lazaro Armenteros (LF), Roberto Baldoquin (1B), Andrys Perez (C) and Yadil Mujica (2B).
