Havana, Oct 28 (ACN) A Cuban team of talented ball players took the bronze after defeating Saint Martin 2-1 at the 6th Caribbean Baseball Cup, which wound up on Monday in that Caribbean island nation.
The Cuban team, under the management of Alexander Urquiola, lost to Curacao at the last meet of the stage by groups and missed the chance to defend their gold won last year.
At the Andre Rodgers stadium, the Cubans made six hits on Monday backed by a good performance by their pitchers to finally take the bronze.
Curacao and the Virgin Islands, who defeated the Cubans, were to fight for the gold on Monday evening.
