HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 2 (ACN) The Avellaneda Hall of the National Theater will host from July 6 a new season of the National Ballet of Cuba, which will celebrate 20 years of collaboration with the British Friends.
Under the direction of prima ballerina Viengsay Valdes, two works produced with the support of the British Friends will be presented: Celeste, a ballet by Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, and the world premiere of Lucile, conceived especially for the National Ballet of Cuba by Danish dancer and choreographer Johan Kobborg.
The latter piece will feature live music by the Orchestra of the Gran Teatro de La Habana Alicia Alonso, conducted by maestro Idalgel Marquetti.
