
HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 29 (ACN) With an accumulated total of 6,729 points, Cuban Josmi Sanchez finished 12th at the Multistars Decathlon and Heptathlon athletic meeting, held in Brescia, Italy.
Sanchez had finished in seventh place on Saturday after the first five events of this exhausting competition, but on Sunday he was "condemned" to go without points in the pole vault.
Cuban young athlete started the closing day with 852 points in the 110-meter hurdles, with a time of 14.98 seconds (s), then he scored 603 in the discus throw, only to fail all his attempts in the pole vault.
The decathlonist from Cuba would close his participation with 659 and 637 points in the javelin throw and the 1,500 m, respectively, with records of 54.73 m and 4:46.88 minutes, according to the official website of the competition.
