On his end, Mr. Ayekaba highlighted Cuba’s legacy of struggle and solidarity and stated that the island is an inspiration to the world based on its humanist approach and its capacity to share, even in the face of challenges.
He pointed out that the Cuban medical brigade in Equatorial Guinea has made a significant contribution to his people’s quality of life.
The parties reasserted their commitment to increase cooperation, with an emphasis on training professionals through joint medical education programs, specialization courses, and institutional strengthening, and discussed potential opportunities for collaboration in medical education, primary health care, and the development of programs related to the treatment of non-communicable chronic diseases.
