Production of bottled mineral water grows in Cuba

HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 26 (ACN) The demand in Cuba for mineral water has grown this year and in response the Ciego Montero bottler, located in the province of Cienfuegos, plans to produce more than 65.4 bottles of high quality water this year.
Osmany Enríquez Quintana, director of this entity, declared exclusively to the Cuban News Agency that so far they have bottled some 39 million units, whose largest volumes correspond to line one in the formats of 500 and 1,500 milliliters (ml).
He indicated that in line two, where the five-litter containers are processed, production is at 97.84 percent.
During the past year the efficiency levels reached showed a factory in gradual ascent in its economy and the quality of the product destined to the hard currency market, both of the hotel and extrahotel network, as well as in the trade, specifically the units and stores belonging to Cuban and mixed capital corporations.
As a result, the Bottling Company deserved the Provincial Quality Award, granted in October 2018, in recognition of the results in efficiency, where the use of international standards in the innocuousness of the final product stands out.
Added to this was the 2.6 percent increase in production and the saving of the precious liquid during the manufacturing process.
