Cuba to announce incentives for foreign investment at FIHAV 2025



HAVANA, Cuba, November 25 (ACN) Important government decisions aimed at fostering business development in Cuba will be announced today during the 8th Investment Forum of the 41st Havana International Fair (FIHAV 2025), which opened at the Expocuba fairgrounds.

Oscar Perez-Oliva Fraga, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, told national media that new incentives will be announced to boost foreign investment, streamline business evaluation and approval processes, and highlight opportunities in various sectors for foreign capital and national partnerships.

Perez-Oliva specified that FIHAV 2025 opened with the participation of 715 companies from 52 countries across all continents, including 268 Cuban companies from different sectors and management structures.

The deputy prime minister explained that this edition features, for the first time, five thematic areas focused on key sectors of the country's economic transformation, highlighting potential and opportunities for investors.

Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, presided over the opening of the event, accompanied by Manuel Marrero Cruz, member of the Political Bureau and prime minister, and other national leaders.
