MATANZAS, Cuba, November 18 (ACN) The event Motivos Cubanacán, a tour organized in Western Cuba, promotes nature tourism as a way to appreciate the island’s unique values.
The Zapata Swamp, the largest and best-preserved wetland in the Caribbean, will host the Tourism and Nature event TURNAT in 2026, according to Magyuri Fernández, deputy director of Marketing at the Zapata Peninsula Natural Park.
The specialist remarked that the program will feature birdwatching, scuba diving, hiking, and visits to agro-ecological farms, and highlighted the fact that the Playa Girón hotel will be operating as an all-inclusive facility in the current winter season.
Currently in its second edition, Motivos Cubanacán―intended to showcase Cuba’s values other than its sun-and-beach destinations―engages some 80 travel agents, sales representatives and tour operators, along with the national and international specialized press.
