Cuba and Pakistan sign MoU to expand tourism relations



HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 18 (ACN) Cuban Ministry of Tourism and the Department of Culture, Tourism, Archaeology, and Museums of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the aim of expanding tourism relations between the two nations.

According to the ministry's Facebook post, the agreement, signed by Yamily Aldama Valdes, Cuban deputy minister of tourism, and His Excellency Mr. Shahbaz M. Malik, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Cuba, seeks to boost the economies of both countries through tourism, while promoting greater knowledge and appreciation of their respective national cultures.

The post emphasizes that the signing of the memorandum is part of Cuba's efforts to diversify its international ties in the tourism sector, a commitment to bilateral cooperation as a means of sustainable development and cultural exchange.
