SANTIAGO DE CUBA, Cuba, June 24 (ACN) One of the new features of the 20th Fair EXPOCARIBE was the presentation of the brochure Exportable Offer as part of “Hecho en Cuba” (Made in Cuba), an event designed to promote the island’s main goods and services with potential to enter the international market.
Claudia Collazo Santos, Deputy Director of Exports at the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment (MINCEX), remarked that the brochure features selected products resulting from efforts to boost national development and industrial innovation with a view to reducing importation and creating more export-oriented production linkages.
The official stressed that “Hecho en Cuba”, which she described as a tool to open doors, bridge gaps, and wedge the country into new markets, features seven chapters covering exportable items made by Cuban entities linked to agricultural, food, biopharmaceutical, light, mining, and other industries, as well as by the service sector.
