HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 27 (ACN) To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President of that nation, said that his country highly values the confident that Cuba has in Vietnamese businessmen.
During a meeting with Vietnamese businessmen from the Mariel Special Development Zone (ZED), the president, who is making a state visit to Cuba, ratified his country's willingness to support the island to overcome difficulties, according to the X account of the Presidency.
For his part, Miguel Diaz-Canel, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the Caribbean nation, thanked the Asian businessmen for their presence in the ZED Mariel, proof of the historic relations that unite both nations.
He also highlighted the high level of preparation that distinguishes them and their sensitivity for Cuba.
To Lam arrived late Wednesday night in Jose Marti International Airport in Havana to begin a state visit to Cuba.
Cuba and Vietnam maintain cooperation in areas such as agri-food, medical-pharmaceutical, education, science and technology, information technology and communications, construction and others.
