SANTIAGO DE CUBA, Cuba, Jun 26 (ACN) Businessmen from Cuba and the Dominican Republic held a meeting to create economic and cooperation links between both nations, as part of the 19th International Fair EXPOCARIBE 2024.
Sheilly Núñez, CEO of the Dominican Republic’s Asociación de Comerciantes e Industriales, said that around 15 entities of her country are interested in making import-export deals with Cuban entities and referred to the Fair as an opportunity to re-establish the twinning agreement between Santiago de los Caballeros and Santiago de Cuba, as well as to expand emerging markets and promote bilateral trade.
Various Dominican entrepreneurs remarked that they are exploring local markets to develop commercial operations and alliances in the region and make incursions into the Cuban food and tourism sectors.
EXPOCARIBE is once again consolidating itself as a stepping-stone to economic development underpinned by commitments among businessmen, shared knowledge and promote the welfare of the peoples.
