Cuba-France economic partnership emerges with Cuban gin

HAVANA, Cuba, May 22 (ACN) The official constitution of the International Economic Association Emberca-Los Primos between a Cuban and a French entity took place at the 4th International Fair of Food, Beverage, Packaging and Food Technology CUBA 2024, under way in this city.

Bearing the trade name Los Primos London Dry Gin, Cuba’s first product of its kind—a joint project developed by Empresa de Bebidas y Refrescos de Ciego de Ávila (Emberca), which will provide the raw materials and know-how, and the Paris Distillery, in charge of technology and funding—was presented at a ceremony attended by Ministers Alberto López Díaz (Food Industry) and Juan Carlos García Granda (Tourism).

In a message to CUBA 2024, Nicolas Julhès, owner of Paris’s only distillery, remarked that this 100% alcoholic drink enhances the prestige of Cuban cocktails.

Made in the province of Sancti Spiritus, Los Primos London Dry Gin is based on West Indian lime, mango and peppermint and will be marketed in three different recipes.
