HAVANA, Cuba, May 19 (ACN) A few days after Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez participated in Moscow in the Supreme Council of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), businesspeople from the island will meet in this city with members of that integrationist bloc.
The event will provide a context to strengthen ties between this sector and the EAEU member nations with a view to developing sustainable projects and boost economic and trade relations between our countries.
During the EAEU conference, Cuba—an observer state since 2020—reasserted its will and interest to play a more active role in the organization for the benefit of stronger integration.
“I sincerely believe,” said the Cuban President in Moscow, “that we all need better coordination to promote joint projects in areas of common interest (…) and need to achieve an upturn in the actions to diversify ties between our countries and make more qualitative and quantitative progress toward higher levels of trade, cooperation and intra- and extra-regional foreign investment.”
