VARADERO, Cuba, Apr 29 (ACN) The seminar "Empowering Tourism Development through Innovation in Community Tourism" will be held today in Varadero to address challenges, strategies, good practices and focus on social innovation in order to strengthen local entrepreneurship.
The seminar will be held on the day previous to the 69th meeting of the Regional Commission for the Americas of UN Tourism, the United Nations agency in charge of promoting a responsible, sustainable and accessible management of the sector for all.
Promoting the development of community-based tourism through empowerment and investment in localities, as well as fostering innovation in these products of the tourism industry will be the premise of the exchange scheduled to take place at the Plaza America Convention Center.
UN Tourism, as the main international organization in that field, advocates for a management that contributes to economic growth, inclusive development and environmental sustainability, and offers leadership and support to the sector to expand its knowledge and policies.
Varadero, the main pole of sun and beach in Cuba, is also an appropriate setting for events, due to the graceful combination of safety, human quality and the always pleasing natural beauty of the environment.
