Habanos S.A. Reports Significant Revenues in 2023

Havana, Feb 26 (ACN) Over 721 million dollars were collected in sales last year by Habanos S.A., the company commercializing Cuban premium cigars around the world.

During a press conference prior to the opening of the 24th International Habano Festival in this city capital Habano S.A. executives said that the total sales stand for 31 percent growth if compared to 2022 and that such commercialization took place at over 4700 sale points around the world.

Company vice-president Jorge Lopez said the success was due to a good marketing of brands like Cohiba and Trinidad cigars, which covered areas considered with the largest demand for cigars.

The executive said that in the post-pandemic era and after recovering from the impact of a hurricane, tobacco production and exports have improved, though there is still much to do to meet all the demand.

China, Spain, Switzerland, Germany and the U.K. were the main markets for Habano S.A. in 2023. The company commercialized 27 premium cigar brands, including Cohiba, Montecristo, Romeo and Julieta, Partagas, Hoyo de Monterrey, H. Upmann and Trinidad.

The festival is being attended by over 2900 experts, business people and cigar lovers from 108 countries.
Meanwhile the trade fair, part of the festival, deploys stands from 79 companies from 11 countries.
