Havana, Jan 10 (ACN) Cuba appreciated the donation by China of resources to boost the deployment here of the digital television and to improve healthcare and education facilities.
Chinese ambassador to Havana Ma Hui and Cuban deputy Foreign Trade and Investment Minister Deborah Riva penned the documents of the projects “Digital TV Phase IV” and
“Sustainability of Carpentry Productions and Furniture for High Impact Programs in Cuba.” These documents backed the arrival here of the donations.
China has cooperated with the development of digital television in Cuba since 2013, said the Chinese ambassador and added that the initiative allowed a high-definition signal to reach to some 45 percent of the Cuban population.
Along with the improvement of the TV transmissions, China also collaborates in the computerization of Cuban society, said Ma Hui.
The donation includes new transmitters, decodifying equipment and other resources.
The other part of the donation includes wood boards of different fibers to be sued in the building of furniture for schools, houses and healthcare facilities.
Ambassador Ma Hui stressed that this year started with a boost to bilateral China-Cuba bilateral socio-economic and political relations.
