Diaz Canel attends Assembly of People's Power in Cuban central province

 

SANTA CLARA, Cuba, Dec 29 (ACN) With the attendance of the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, in his capacity as deputy for this city, begins the 8th ordinary session of the Municipal Assembly of People's Power (AMPP) of Santa Clara.

On a date in which the people commemorate the 65th anniversary of the Battle of Santa Clara, this session corresponding to the 18th term of office will be held in the historic theater of the Central University "Marta Abreu" of Las Villas, where the draft plan and budget for 2024 will be approved.
In addition, the guidelines for the work of the permanent commissions, the work plan of the AMPP will be presented, and the temporary commission for the accountability process of the Municipal Administration Council will be formed, as well as the program of commitments for local economic development in 2024.
