Camaguey, Nov 20 (ACN) A Chinese delegation considered the potential of this eastern province to be part of the China-Latin America Industrial Park project.
During talks with local officials and entrepreneurs, Huan Qiao Ming, director of the project said that the idea is achieving a flow of products, financing, training of personnel and high efficiency to be more competitive a world level.
The project guarantees logistics and transportation direct from China to Cuba, as well as the setting up of warehouses, including one in Camaguey. He also mentioned the action of Chinese providers such as manufacturers of electric vehicles, solar panels, office items, harvesters and home appliances, while Cuba could contribute products by providers such as Cuba-Café, Cuba Ron, Artex, Apicuba and others.
The China-Latin America Industrial Park project is part of China’s Belt and Road Initiative which expects to expand to countries like Ecuador, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Argentina and Mexico over the next few years.
