VARADERO, Cuba, Nov 10 (ACN) The final day of the America Accessible(Accessible America 2023) Regional Event, held in this resort since Nov. 8, is developing today at the Meliá Internacional Hotel with the presence of more than 150 participants from a dozen nations.
According to the official program, the forum will close with a workshop on innovation projects and initiatives in favor of inclusiveness based on the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).
The agenda also includes a workshop on digital inclusion for youth, in which the work experiences of entities such as the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), co-sponsor of América Accesible along with the Ministry of Communications ( MINCOM) of Cuba, will be presented.
The results of the work of the Center for the Study of Youth, the Cuban Association of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities, and a project of the Youth Computer and Electronics Club for children with special educational needs will be presented.
The event celebrates the 10th anniversary of América Accesible, ITU's main regional platform focused on ICT accessibility as a means to ensure digital inclusion and empowerment.
