SANCTI SPIRITUS, Cuba, Aug 4 (ACN) Since the creation in Cuba of the first micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in 2021, they have provided the state budget in the province of Sancti Spiritus (central Cuba) with more than 233 million pesos.
Marisleidy Perdigon Perez, deputy director of the National Tax Administration Office in the territory, told the Cuban News Agency that this figure includes contributions for different concepts, among which are taxes on sales and services, and for the use of the labor force.
Perdigon Perez added that the monetary aid is also limited to the tax on profits, in addition to their contribution to local development and social security.
One of the objectives of these entities is to contribute to the country's development, based on the possibilities of human talent, raw materials and other resources that can be used for the benefit of production and services, taking advantage of science, technology and innovation, together with the creative ingenuity of many workers.
There are multiple activities that can be developed, among which are those related to manufacturing, food production, IT services, construction and gastronomy, in addition to other services to the population.
Decree Law 46 of the Council of State facilitates the integration of MSMEs in a coherent manner in the legal system, as an actor that has an impact on the productive transformation of the country, and they may be state-owned, private or mixed.
