
HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 18 (ACN) The ministry of economy and planning (MEP) approved today 114 applications for the creation of economic actors, of which 113 are private micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and one state-owned one.
As reported by the institution on Twitter, with this decision there are 5,884 economic actors approved since the process began in September 2021, of which 5,756 are private MSMEs, 69 state MSMEs and 59 non-agricultural cooperatives.
By origin, 52 % are reconversions of pre-existing businesses and 48 % correspond to new ventures, expecting to generate 100,447 new jobs in the economy, the text added.
Of all those approved, 138 are part of local development projects and 13 are developed in the Science and Technology Park of Havana.
