HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 18 (ACN) The Havana Dairy Plant is producing a new line of skimmed yogurt with a low percentage of sugar, Dayana Fernandez Columbie, its director of Technology and Development, told the Cuban News Agency in an exclusive interview.
In the context of the Havana International Fair (Fihav 2022), she said that the product is highly nutritious, and the entity is working to ensure its sustained production amid the complexities with raw materials and inputs.
The company markets the yogurt in a new format of pots, through Comercio stores in Cuban peso and in the network in freely convertible currency, and its production is due to an investment made in the plant in 2019.
As for the results of the Center's presence in Fihav, he commented on the contacts with state agencies and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises to meet the demands for raw materials in the production of ice cream, yogurt and cheese, which in the coming days they expect to sign contracts.
Fernandez Columbie also highlighted the possible productive linkages that have arisen in the commercial exchange for the benefit of the parties, and especially, of the population that highly demands dairy products.
